Court interpreters tend to experience similar challenges whether they're in a courtroom or in a deposition, but the latter adds a layer of difficulty because there's no judge present. Because of this, interpreters may have to address objections to the interpretation more often, as well as very few breaks, participants who are not familiar with the role of a court interpreter and technical difficulties in a remote setting, among others. Attendees will be encouraged to bring up situations they’ve been in to discuss with colleagues who may have experienced similar situations or who may have effective suggestions to deal with the problem in the future.
