What Happens in the Room Stays in the Room: Protecting Confidentiality

Court interpreters are bound by attorney-client privilege but occasionally wonder if there are exceptions. Is an attorney not informing a client of their rights one of those exceptions? What are exactly the guidelines? Over the years, a few interpreters made headlines across the country for what was seen by some as a breach of the duty to maintain privilege. This class will focus on this duty and attendees will be encouraged to bring up situations related to confidentiality that they might have encountered.
